Showcaser Limited (Showcaser, we, us, our) store and process certain data that it collects on the Showcaser platform, which is a video information platform (“Showcaser”). When you register with Showcaser

On Showcaser, personal information (such as your name and email address) is collected when you voluntarily submit it through a website form when registering to use our service. Other information that may also constitute personal information (such as your browser type, operating system, IP address, domain name, number of times you visited the platform, dates you visited the website, and the amount of time you spent viewing the website) may be collected via cookies and other tracking technologies (such as transparent GIF files). Aggregate Information (such as how many times visitors log onto the platform) may also be collected.

When you upload a video onto Showcaser

You may create a profile and upload videos onto Showcaser. Your profile may display information about you and your activities. This information may be accessed by others. Your videos may be viewed and otherwise accessed by others, and associated metadata (e.g., titles, descriptions, tags, etc.) are also viewable by others. Your interactions with other users (e.g., comments, likes etc.) may be seen by others. You may choose to limit the availability of your profile and videos within your profile settings (see 'Videos' section below for information about how to manage the privacy settings of your videos).

Where you upload videos onto Showcaser, we may process information contained within the videos you upload where we are reviewing submitted videos to ensure compliance with Showcaser's terms and conditions or creating 'playlists' of videos. Your videos may contain special categories of personal data (such as information revealing race or religion, political or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, or relating to health etc.) or personal data relating to criminal convictions and offences if you choose to include this.

You may also on occasion provide us with personal data relating to other people, for example, when other persons feature in videos that you upload to our site. Before providing such information, you must inform such people of any personal data that you intend to share with us, and make sure that they are aware of the information contained in this Notice.

Creating 'playlists' of videos to be shared with users of Showcaser. Our video hosting and sharing tools offer the ability to limit the distribution of your content, including your videos.

Where videos contain special categories of personal data, the legal basis for processing of that personal data is your consent (see 'Videos' section below for information about how to manage the privacy settings of your videos). You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by removing the video from Showcaser or changing your privacy settings.

You may change these settings at any time. Changes will be applied on a go-forward basis. You should exercise caution in granting access to others. Once you have granted access to someone else, your video may be shared further with other people. Regardless of your profile or video privacy settings, Showcaser reserves the right to inspect videos for compliance with terms and conditions, to provide customer support, or to address technical issues.

SHARING PERSONAL INFORMATION

Right to restrict the processing of your personal information

You can ask us to restrict your personal information, but only where:

  • its accuracy is contested, to allow us to verify its accuracy; or
  • the processing is unlawful, but you do not want it erased; or
  • it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected, but we still need it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; or
  • you have exercised the right to object, and verification of overriding grounds is pending.
